FlyChart 4 Software

Flychart software comes supplied with the 4010, 4020 and the pro version with the 4030. Below are screen shots showing the capability and versatility of this software.

Barographs

The figure below shows a gentle top to bottom from 2200ft to sea level. With an average sink rate  of 400 ft/min and speed of 30mph, you should guess that this is a hanglider. The box at bottom left shows the statistics for a highlighted area of the graph.

Barograph Data Page

The barograph data page allows data input to clarify the flight. Comments, start, landing and turn points may be entered. The software then calculates distances and flight times.

Polars

The pro version of the software calculates the polar curve. The right axis shows the glide ratio, plotted in green. The left axis shows the sink rate of the glider plotted in red: This is  the polar of the glider. The horizontal axis shows the airspeed of the glider. 
The polar curve may be edited by changing the data which is recorded by the software or by editing the manual curve fitting area. If you still don't like it you may click and the drag the polar to match whatever criteria you want!
